Active since 1959, the club is located in Calgary, Alberta, Canada (51° N, 114° W) on the edge of the open Canadian prairies, within site of the majestic Canadian Rocky Mountains.

Calgary is home to the Calgary Exhibition and Stampede, and was proud to host the 1997 World Police/Fire Games and the 1988 Winter Olympic Games.

To the west is the spectacular Banff National Park; to the east is the world-renowned Royal Tyrrell Museum of Paleontology; to the south is Head Smashed-In Buffalo Jump, a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
